The Akan are the largest ethnic group in Ghana and the Akan Fekuw is their organization here in Denmark. The award came with 500$, which is the equivalent of an annual income for most of the women of the Talented Women’s Club the micro credit project that the Charity Club supports. The Charity Club was commended for its “untiring efforts” for many years. The 500$ of course went straight back to Ghana in the form of micro credit loans.
